FAQs
A pregnancy registry is a study that collects information on drug or biological product exposure during pregnancy and associated pregnancy outcome. The registry collects health information on pregnant women and their developing babies up to 1 year of age, from both enrolled pregnant women and healthcare providers (HCPs) involved in their care and/or the care of their babies. Registry enrollment is voluntary and must be initiated by the patient. No medication will be given and participation in the registry will not influence or interfere with the treatment plan recommended by you or other HCP.
Eli Lilly and Company has created this registry to learn more about the experiences of pregnant people who have taken medicines (including Lilly medicines) during pregnancy. The registry is designed to help patients understand the benefits and risks of treatment during pregnancy.
If you are eligible and would like to participate, you will be asked to:
1. Provide your informed consent (a requirement for participation in any research study)
2. Provide the Registry with permission to contact your HCP(s) to collect information for the study
You and your HCP(s) will provide information to the Registry about your pregnancy and your baby´s health up to 1 year of age. The registry staff can help guide you in getting this information.
Your routine healthcare will remain unchanged. You will not have to make extra office visits or take extra tests or additional medications.
When you enroll/register:
- Information about you such as your age and race
- Important medical information including all pregnancies
- Your own and your partner’s family medical history, and medicines you have taken
During pregnancy follow-ups:
- Updates to pregnancy information
- Medicines you take during pregnancy
After pregnancy:
- Information about your baby’s birth, including birthweight and health
- Infant growth and development through the first year of life
Information that you provide will be combined with information given by other participants. Together, this information will improve understanding about the patients using Lilly medicines during pregnancy and their experiences. The safety of medications will be studied by evaluating the reported pregnancy and infant outcomes.
Results from the registry will be shared with regulatory bodies (e.g. FDA) and may be added to product labeling to provide HCPs additional prescribing information.
The learnings from this registry may help patients and HCPs weigh the risks and benefits of being treated with certain medications around the time of conception and during pregnancy.
Call the Registry team toll-free at 1-888-524-0039 and leave your name and number (you can call at any time of the day to leave a message, your call will be returned during hours of operation: 8:30am – 5:00pm EST Monday – Friday)
